AKR stands for αχορoς (akoros), a Greek word which appears the first time in Aeschylus’s Prometheus. Literally it means "maverick", but in Aeschylus’s tragedy it was translated as "singing without dancing" or "singing of war".
AKR is a pool of intentions. It is a group organised in a non-hierarchical structure which encourages meeting and direct contact. Its aim is the production of music, theatrical pieces and videos.
Day-after-day, AKR learns and becomes an independent and disaffected cauldron of collaboration, open to contamination. AKR finds in its internal diversities the stimulus to work together, to resist to the pollution in the air around us and to move forward in the delirium of signs that accompanies us, like a badly disciplined army which is absolutely prone to desertion.
Music is what gave AKR its life. AKR produces records, soundtracks for short movies and theatrical performances, features improvisation sessions and electro-acoustic live.
The passion for Video comes directly from its possible uses in performing arts. Their goal is the sensation, the violence for the eyes, the shake in the stomach, the vibration of sound. We exploit videos in various ways especially in performances and, usually, live.
The Theatre is the point of intersection between our different projects. The source of its way of being is the will of giving theatre a meaning that is beyond the hierarchical mechanisms imposed by the culture industry. We bring our theatre in all places where it is needed, traveling from city to city weaving relationships and delivering content. The various components of our theatrical events are not arranged in a hierarchy: they co-operate to form the shape of our theatre. The need to abolish the predominance of the text – at least of the narrative one – gives to the overall composition images, pictures and ideas whose role is, once again, to mitigate the predominance of the word on other components. Our creative process is a collective one, we build our work through discussions and improvisations in which musicians, actors, technicians, video artists and authors have equal weight.
AKR è l’acronimo di αχορoς , termine greco che compare per la prima volta nel Prometeo di Eschilo. Letteralmente può voler dire "incessante" ma nella tragedia di Eschilo è tradotto come "canto senza danza" o "di guerra".
AKR è un bacino di intenzioni. Un collettivo organizzato secondo una struttura non gerarchica che predilige l'incontro ed il contatto diretto e che ha come obiettivo la produzione di materiale Musicale, Teatrale e Video.
AKR impara e diviene, giorno per giorno, calderone di collaborazioni autonome e maldisposte, aperte alle contaminazioni, e trova tra le sue diversità e le sue varie umanità la voglia di lavorare assieme, per resistere all'aria inquinata che ci circonda, al delirio di segni che ci accompagna, per muoversi come un'armata poco disciplinata e assolutamente incline alla diserzione.
La Musica è il luogo dove AKR vede la luce. AKR produce dischi, colonne sonore per cortometraggi e spettacoli teatrali, sonorizzazioni elettro-acustiche dal vivo e sessioni di improvvisazione.
La passione per il Video passa direttamente dall'utilizzo che se ne può fare nelle arti performative. L'obbiettivo è la sensazione, la violenza, le vibrazioni, il suono. I video vivono soprattutto nelle performance, sotto varie forme, e generalmente live.
Il Teatro è il punto di intersezione tra i diversi progetti. Alla base del suo modo di essere c'è la voglia di interpretare il teatro in un modo antitetico ai meccanismi gerarchici imposti dall'industria culturale. Quest'intenzione si traduce nel far vivere il proprio teatro in tutti quei luoghi dove risulta necessario, viaggiando di città in città per tessere relazioni e proporre contenuti. Le diverse parti che compongono un evento teatrale non sono, nel nostro lavoro, ordinate secondo una gerarchia, bensì cooperano integrandosi per costituire la forma del nostro teatro. La necessità di abolire la predominanza del testo -del testo narrativo per lo meno - consegna alla composizione complessiva immagini, quadri e suggestioni il cui ruolo è quello di attenuare, lo ripetiamo, la predominanza della parola sulle altre componenti. Il nostro processo creativo è collettivo, costruiamo i nostri lavori attraverso discussioni e improvvisazioni nelle quali musicisti, attori, tecnici, video artisti e autori hanno lo stesso peso.
AKR ist das Akronym für αχορoς (akoros), griechisches Wort welches zum erstmal in dem Prometheus von Eschylus erscheint. Wörtlich übersetzt bedeutet es “außerhalb des Chores”, aber in der Tragödie von Eschylus wird es übersetzt, als “Gesang ohne Tanz” oder “Kriegsgesang”.
AKR ist eine Schale des Willens. Ein rangloses Kollektiv, das den direkten Kontakt bevorzugt und als Ziel der Produktion von Musikalisches, Theatralisches und Video Material hat.
Musik war die Geburt von AKR. Wir produzieren Alben, Tonstreifen für Filme und Theaterstücke, wir leisten Impro-sessions und electro-acoustic Konzerten.
Die Leidenschaft für das Mittel Video ist übereinstimmend mit seinen möglichen Verwendungen in den Performing Arts. Sein Objektiv ist das Fühlen, die Gewalt für die Augen, das Rütteln im Magen, die Vibration des Tons. Wir beuten Videos in verschiedenen Arten aus, vor allem bei unseren Performances und am Meisten live.
Das Theater ist die gemeinsame Schnittstelle zwischen den verschiedenen Sprachen, deshalb bevorzugen wir ein multimediales Theater. Die verschiedenen Medien, aus denen eine Theaterveranstaltung besteht, sind in unserer Arbeit nicht hierarchisch angeordnete, sondern wirken zusammen, um die Form unseres Theaters herzustellen. Unser Bedrängnis, die Logik der Erzählung abzuschaffen, erzeugt eine Komposition von Klängen, Stille und beweglichen Bildern, Suggestionen, wo die Assoziationsebene stärker ist, als die, des rationale Verständnis. Unsere Kreationsprozess ist kollektiv, wir komponieren unsere Stücke gemeinsam durch Diskussionen und Improvisationen, in denen Musiker, Schauspieler, Techniker, Videomakers und Dramaturgen das selbe Gewicht haben.
